Supporting people with Functional Neurological Disorders (FND)

Supporting people with Functional Neurological Disorders (FND)

Welcome to FND Dimensions

We aim to develop a network of ‘peer support groups’ across the UK either in face to face meetings or online via methods such as Skype. By bringing people together on a regular basis, this will help alleviate the isolation that many FND patients feel. It will also give you the opportunity to talk to others in a similar position about the day to day challenges, issues or concerns that you have.

In one group already up and running the following was said about what it was like to meet up with fellow FNDers:

I feel a little less lost. We begin to feel so isolated and it’s reassuring knowing there are
others locally and that we can build friendships and support each other. We’re with the
people that ‘get it’ rather than having to explain ourselves.

FND Dimensions Swimming Challenge 2022

This year I’ll be taking on my furthest distance yet, 5km (3.1miles). The event is taking place at the brand new Moorways Sports Village and Water Park, Derby, Weds 25th May at 11am.
If you are free, please come and cheer me on as I’ll be swimming non stop (with just the use of my arms) for close to 2 hrs.
If you would like to sponsor me, please follow the link below. All monies will go towards the work of the charity which is carried out by volunteers. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE – That due to COVID-19 all our ‘meet ups’ are currently taking place via Zoom or Facebook Messenger
